Preventive Treatments

Central to the way we work, preventive treatments aim to pick up or prevent disease or damage. They include fissure sealants for children and young people, to prevent decay in some of the deep lines and fissures in molar teeth.

We also provide and fit tailor made mouth guards so that patients who play sport can protect their teeth.

Visits to Janine, the hygienist, are part of our preventive approach. She advises on how to remove plaque from teeth effectively at home. Janine also removes the soft and hard plaque on the teeth to a very high standard and works with Alan to establish and maintain a programme that is tailored to the individual patient.
